I am fundraising for World Wildlife Fund by running in the 2026 Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend. 

I actually didn't grow up going to Disney--instead, my mom would take us to the San Diego Zoo and Wild Animal Park. It was a much cheaper annual pass, but more importantly it instilled in me a deep respect and empathy for the creatures we share the planet with. We'd wait for hours to see the pandas, delight over elephants, and coo over okapis (still my favorites!). As I've gotten older, I still take it as a duty to support rehabilitation of endangered species, but I believe so strongly that visibility is the entry point into addressing challenges. 

And there are challenges, to be sure: deforestation, climate change, water scarcity, and illegal wildlife trade. And beyond visibility, WWF works in unity with people, partners, and institutions to achieve lasting conservation solutions.
